Viva La France

Viva La France, we are all a quiver with anticipation.

Having arranged our visas, booked the flights, packed our panniers, and boxed up the bikes, Therese and I will fly to France, Bordeaux in particular, to catch a colourful, crowded roadside view of the riders racing in this year’s Tour De France, after which we will spend a few months cycle touring, dipping our wheels into Spain, perhaps up into the Pyrenees and Basque Country before rolling back through rural France in peak summer, then up to Paris and Mont Saint Michel. Taking our old Vivente Australian touring bicycles, travelling slow and camping. We live simply on the road, bringing only our camping gear and passion for all things French. We plan on cycling the Eurovelo 3 Scandibérique route along with sections of Eurovelo 4 La Vélo Maritime, Eurovelo 6 La Loire, Eurovelo 1 La Vélodessy along the Atlantic Coast and some places in between too.
